Liverpool Eye Shock Reunion After £35m Transfer Exit

Liverpool are eyeing a stunning reunion with a player just days after completing a £35m transfer exit, according to reports. The club’s decision to part ways with a key squad member has come as a shock, but they have already put plans in place to welcome him back in a huge reunion a few years down the line.

The Merseyside giants need player sales to bring in funds and make space in their squad and wage bill for more new arrivals in the ongoing transfer window.

Liverpool have already identified several players who could be sold in the ongoing transfer window to bring in funds and balance the books at Anfield.

The Premier League champions are close to finalising the sale of a top player this summer, but sporting director Richard Hughes has ensured that a reunion is also on the cards.

Liverpool plot shock transfer return

Liverpool have a deal in place to sell Jarell Quansah to German giants Bayer Leverkusen in the ongoing transfer window.

The Bundesliga side have agreed to pay a club-record fee of £35m for the 22-year-old defender, and he is set to complete the move soon.

However, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Liverpool are not losing control of the centre-back’s future entirely.

He revealed that the sporting director Hughes has managed to insert a buyback clause, which could pave the way for Quansah to return to Anfield in the near future.

“These two clubs have an excellent relationship, doing plenty of business together this summer”, the reporter told his YouTube channel on Sunday evening.

“They have agreed a deal for Jarell Quansah worth £30m plus £5m in add-ons.

“There will also be a buy-back clause in the contract of Quansah at Bayer Leverkusen. What does it mean? That Bayer Leverkusen accept the fact that Liverpool can have control of the player in the future if, in two, three, four, or five years, Liverpool decide to return and bring the player back to Anfield, they can do it for a specific price. No need for negotiations, it will be automatic.”

“The price is an important price”, Romano added.

“At the moment it is still undisclosed, but for sure it’s an important price, but still an opportunity for Liverpool to keep the player under their control for the future. .

“So, again, an important move from Richard Hughes who really wanted to keep control of the player.”

Quansah is rated highly at Anfield, and it is no surprise Liverpool have kept the prospect of getting him back alive.
