Liverpool may be set to announce they have signed Fabio Carvalho from Fulham if we read into a recent tweet from Fabrizio Romano while there may have been a major development that makes an announcement possible.
The Reds are flying in all competitions and have a genuine chance to win the quadruple this season but they’re not wasting time and are already making plans to bring in new blood in the summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, who recently spoke to the former Manchester United defender on Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE, a deal to sign the playmaker is already in place and is just a matter of formalities now.
He said: “The deal is done, 100 percent. The player has already visited the training ground, met with Jurgen Klopp, had his medical with Fulham’s permission.
“So everything is done between Fabio Carvalho and Liverpool. It’s a good deal I think for Fulham and a very interesting deal for Liverpool because they’ve signed a top talent.
“He will sign for five years. And I’m told there’s no plan to loan him back to Fulham or any other club. The plan is to keep Fabio Carvalho in the team for next season. To have him as part of the pre-season and Jurgen Klopp’s team.
“They are super happy with the signing because some clubs in February were trying to hijack the move. But now everything is completed.”
The Italian journalist also tweeted on the 11th of April that out of respect for Fulham and their Premier League promotion quest, they would delay the announcement of Carvalho.

Fulham have now officially clinched promotion for the 2022/22 Premier League season and this could leave the door open for Liverpool to announce the capture of Carvalho.
The 19-year-old scored as the Cottagers beat Preston North End 3-0, who have Sepp van den Berg on loan, to clinch promotion.
The Portuguese star, born in 2002, has 10 goals and 7 assists this season and will add flair and creativity to Liverpool’s midfield but more importantly, he gives Jurgen Klopp a new way to approach games.
The Reds have often been quite functional in midfield under Jurgen Klopp but since the signing of Thiago, it seems the German has looked to play more expansive, possession-based football and it’s brought more control to the Reds.
Adding Carvalho into the mix means the Reds would have a player capable of making the difference between the lines on the turn in the final third.
