Liverpool could agree deal in a ‘few weeks’ for generational talent – would be an incredible signing

Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool may have just won the Community Shield by beating Manchester City but the Reds are still looking to improve their side.

Rumours have been rife with speculation over a move for a potential midfield signing this summer despite already signing Fabio Carvalho.

Reports suggest Jurgen Klopp is interested in several targets, but they look set to stick with their current squad – at least for now.

The Reds have been seriously linked with a move for Jude Bellingham and their work behind the scenes could see them land their man.

Latest reports on Bellingham

The England international is set to stay at Borussia Dortmund this season but the 19-year-old is in high demand with a move extremely likely next summer.

According to Football Insider, the Reds are ‘confident’ of signing Bellingham, with the report also stating that an agreement could be in place ‘within weeks’.

The Premier League club have been working diligently behind the scenes to complete a deal which could see them secure their man.

Competition for the midfielder’s signature will be tough considering most of Europe’s elite are also targeting the former Birmingham City player.

Considering Liverpool’s injury issues in that area, a new midfielder is a key target for the present and long-term.

He could be their long-term solution in midfield and a ready-made replacement for the likes of Thiago and Jordan Henderson – both of whom are now in their 30’s.
