Liverpool could be facing a major transfer storm, with reports claiming the club have clashed with one of its first-team stars over a shock £50m decision. The disagreement has left both sides at odds and threatens to derail plans as the summer transfer window intensifies.
The Merseyside giants are about to welcome Florian Wirtz for a record transfer fee, but a major clash is brewing behind the scenes over the future of a top star.
The club are keen to light a fire under their attempts to sell players in the coming weeks, and are pushing a few of their stars to finalise a move away sooner rather than later.

Darwin Nunez will leave Liverpool this summer, with the club actively looking to bring in a world-class number 9 to replace him ahead of next season.
Napoli are in talks with Liverpool and the striker’s representatives to take the striker to Italy, and the Uruguayan has approved the move to the Serie A champions.
However, according to Football Insider, the Merseyside giants are willing to do everything in their power to push Nunez towards accepting an offer from Saudi Arabia.
The striker has suitors in the Saudi Pro League, and Liverpool would prefer him to move to the Middle East as it would fetch them more money from his sale.
Nunez has not closed the door on a move to Saudi Arabia, but his preference is to stay in Europe, and a transfer to Napoli is more appealing.
However, Napoli are only likely to offer around £42m, while the Saudi clubs are ready to put in anywhere between £50m and £60m to sign Nunez.
