Liverpool are working out their plans for the upcoming transfer windows as sporting director Richard Hughes looks to carry out an evolution of the squad.
The Merseyside giants want to be more aggressive in the market after being found wanting in the previous summer transfer window.
Plans for January are in progress as they push to bring in a defensive midfielder and they will also take a look at other areas of their squad as well.
Signing a winger could be on the cards for Liverpool in January or next summer due to the speculation surrounding Mohamed Salah’s future at Anfield.
Liverpool have been tracking several forwards and wide men and some names are being discussed in recruitment meetings behind held behind closed doors.
The Reds want to be ready with a concrete plan if Salah leaves the club on a free transfer in the summer and have a number of names on their shortlist.
Liverpool have their eyes on Spain Under-21 winger but Manchester City and Tottenham are also in the race
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Real Valladolid winger Raul Moro has popped up on the radar of the Merseyside giants.
The teenage winger has impressed the Liverpool scouts and the club are interested in getting their hands on the player in the upcoming windows.
However, a move for him would be more complicated as several other Premier League sides are also alive to the prospect of signing the young winger.
Moro has also been on the watchlist of reigning Premier League champions Manchester City and Tottenham.
Real Valladolid are likely to sell if they receive a fee in the region of €10m or more for the young winger in January or next summer.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool’s interest in the player translates into a concrete offer for Moro in the coming months.
Moro, who has scored twice this season, has two caps to his name for the Spain Under-21s.
Liverpool’s attack will be key next week against Arsenal and in a boost for Arne Slot’s reds, former Arsenal man and childhood Liverpool fan Theo Walcott has claimed Calafiori will struggle against Mo Salah, which bodes well with the Reds looking to open up a seven point gap on Arsenal.
