Fabrizio Romano says Liverpool are patiently looking for the right opportunity in the transfer market and are drawn to Raphinha from Leeds and Arnaut Danjuma from Villarreal.
They passed up on signing Raphinha in the summer due to concerns over his price but it could be a deal that happens down the line.
Deco, his agent, said in the summer: “He’s an important player. There are certainly several clubs that like him, and Liverpool do like him.
“There were approaches, but nothing official. Leeds wanted to keep him for another season.”

The Italian, speaking exclusively to Anfield Watch, explained that Liverpool are not rushing into any deals.
“Liverpool will only go into it if they have an opportunity that is also for the future,” Romano said.
“So they don’t want to sign a player just for six months or 3/4 games with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane leaving the club for the African Cup.
“They will jump into it if they find an opportunity like Diogo Jota – a player with a good price with no crazy price tag, and with good skills that match Jurgen Klopp’s ideas.
“So if they will are able to find this kind of opportunity, they will do it. Liverpool are looking in the transfer market for that kind of player, a winger – this is the priority.
“They like players like Raphinha from Leeds or Danjuma from Villarreal. But it’s very complicated to sign them in January.
“Liverpool were very clear last summer, they signed Ibrahima Konate and then they said if we find an opportunity we will replace Wijnaldum or Shaqiri. But with crazy price tags around they decided to stay with the current team.
“So I won’t be surprised if they will do the same, but they are looking at the market. So they are keeping tabs on players. And we will see in January what happens.”

He’s already showing that he has the quality and ability to make a consistent impact in the Premier League but if Raphinha had world-class players around him to make better use of his passes and to supply him more, he’d be a menace.
As it is, the Brazilian has scored 8 goals and assisted once for relegation-threatened Leeds so can you imagine how effective he would be in Liverpool’s high pace, high pressing and high-intensity system?
Not only would the former Rennes star provide fantastic competition for Mo Salah which would push him onto another level (if that’s even possible) but he could be a great option in the starting XI as well.
