Liverpool have big plans to back Arne Slot in the market, with the Dutchman set to deliver the Premier League title in his first season. However, the Reds will also have to ensure that they sell well to remain on the right side of the PSR calculations, and Saudi interest in their players will play nicely with their agenda.
The Liverpool boss is pushing to aggressively reconfigure his attack for the next transfer window despite being on the cusp of winning the Premier League.
He wants a new number, which will result in Darwin Nunez leaving the club in the next window. The Reds are also open to suitable offers for Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota as they have lined up younger replacements for both.
Diaz has been attracting interest from Barcelona since last year, but it has been claimed that they are now almost certain that the winger won’t be moving to Anfield.

The Saudis end Barcelona’s pursuit of the Liverpool winger

Luis Diaz has made the most Liverpool appearances under Arne Slot after Mohamed Salah, but the club are open to selling him in the next window.
Saudi Pro League clubs have earmarked him for a transfer in the summer, and Liverpool are prepared to listen to offers for him.
And according to the Catalan daily Sport, the introduction of the Saudi clubs has more or less killed Barcelona’s hopes of signing Diaz in the summer.
The Saudis are likely to be ready to match Liverpool’s €75m asking price, which Barcelona do not want to pay for the 28-year-old winger.
Barcelona’s only hope lies with the winger insisting on moving to the Nou Camp, but even then, the financial incentive of moving to Saudi Arabia could be too hard to turn down.
