According to Voetbal24, who covered Liverpool’s interest in Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans, say the Reds are considering a €44m move for Jeremy Doku.

While some fans still remain doubtful as to whether or not Liverpool will make a new signing this summer, the good news is that we will soon find out.

Jurgen Klopp stays that the club might still do some business this summer and while that’s obviously been a possibility the whole window, with just three weeks to go, we won’t have to wait too long to see.

And if Liverpool don’t make any more signings at least all the speculation will come to an end and we can get back to football.

In early July, Voetbal24 reported that Liverpool were prepared to pay Leicester City €75million for Youri Tielemans.

While that never materialised, the outlet now reports that Liverpool are interested in making a bid for Doku from Rennes.

They are allegedly weighing up a €45million bid for the 19-year-old but Anfield Central understands that his plans are to remain in Ligue 1 for another year at least.

Arsenal are also interested and the Gunners are in the lead after wowing the teenager but with a year before he is expected to make a decision on his future, there is nothing to be decided yet.

If Klopp sells Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri while adding a new midfielder and another attacker, the Reds will be in fantastic shape to challenge for the Premier League title this season.

With Virgil van Dijk back in defence and Fabinho set to spend the entire season in his favoured no.6 role, Liverpool should see their defence return to its previous strength which should allow them to churn wins out with regularity again.

The start of the Premier League season is now just days away and the excitement is palpable.
