Liverpool and Everton’s net spend since 2016 has been compared and while it’s an incredible reflection on FSG’s dealings with the Anfield outfit, it’s grim viewing for the Blues.
While the Reds are one point shy of the top of the Premier League table, their city rivals are languishing in the relegation zone.
They have a game in hand over Burnley, who are two points above them in 17th.
A screenshot taken from Premier League Productions on Supersport shows that Liverpool have spent £569million since 2016 while Everton have an outlay of £639million.

Incredibly, Jurgen Klopp’s side has managed a net spend of £157million while signing the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker, Naby Keita, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota etc.
Michael Edwards has also managed some bargains like Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane for £34m each and Andy Robertson for £8million!
Liverpool have been run like a well-oiled machine for the most part since Jurgen Klopp arrived although it must be said more investment at certain stages was needed.
However, the German now has what must be the squad of his dreams or at least close to it as he is able to rotate world-class stars in and out of the team with absolute ease.
