Liverpool have reached an agreement with Aurelien Tchouameni over personal terms and could soon sign him after adding Fabio Carvalho to the ranks already.
The 19-year-old will join the club after a deal was announced by the club’s official website.
His move to Anfield was announced following the heartbreaking end to the 2021/22 Premier League season which ended with Manchester City being crowned champions again.

Liverpool reach personal terms agreement with Tchouameni
RMC Sport claims Liverpool and Real Madrid have both agreed on personal terms with the player reportedly “giving himself a few days” to decide which club he wants to join.
- On one hand, there is Real Madrid. They won La Liga this season and are into the Champions League final.
- On the other hand, Liverpool narrowly missed out on the Premier League title but have won the League Cup and FA Cup and are also into the Champions League final.
- PSG are not in the race despite pushing to sign him for weeks.
All that remains for Liverpool to sign Tchouameni is to reach an agreement with Monaco over a fee, with RMC Sport stating that it will cost €80million or the equivalent of £63million.

Liverpool sporting directors, Michael Edwards and Julian Ward, will now negotiate a transfer fee with Monaco.
It’s difficult to believe Liverpool be prepared to pay £63million to sign the French midfielder although it’s not unprecedented.
Liverpool’s biggest transfer fees include a £66million payment to AS Roma for Alisson Becker and a £75million fee paid for Virgil van Dijk to Southampton.
Whether or not the Reds agree to pay so much for Tchouameni comes down to whether or not they believe he can have a transformative impact on Liverpool’s future the way Alisson and van Dijk have.

After Carvalho’s move was announced, RMC Sport reported on the agreement between Liverpool and Tchouameni.
Now, he could become the club’s second summer signing before the season even ends.
The transfer window won’t officially open until June 10th but that won’t stop the likes of Liverpool and their Premier League rivals from holding talks with players, their agents and the clubs they play for.
Hopefully, it will be plain sailing for Liverpool this year and that no drama unfolds this summer.
