Lionel Messi in a recent video highlighted players who he deems to be the ‘future of the game’. It included a special Liverpool talent as well. An exciting stamp of approval from one of the greatest.
Lionel Messi is arguably one of the greatest to ever lace a pair of boots. His opinions on the game are something to sit and notice. In one such video he mentioned ten players who he thinks will carry the game forward.
A stamp of approval from the eight time Balon d’Or winner will surely boost a player’s confidence. Fans are hoping the player now lives up to the potential and delivers great things at Anfield.

Lionel Messi finds this player to be the future

Lionel Messi features in an Adidas advert video picking a list of 10 of the world’s young stars. After shuffling playing cards featuring names and images of players. He picks 10 cards with one of them having current Liverpool prospect Rio Ngumoha on it.
The background voiceover can be heard saying, “The perfect 10. It starts with a shuffle, it relies on a few tricks, a sleight of hand, nothing is left to chance.”

Praise from other quarters
Ngumoha has been receiving praise from other quarters including former Reds midfielder Jamie Redknapp. Redknapp finds him to be a God-given talent. A player who sent shockwaves during his time at the Chelsea academy.
Certified club legend Mohamed Salah is giving him advice. A role model as perfect as one can be for the young player. Similarly captain Van Djik had earlier praised Rio as ‘incredible’. The 17-year old certainly has an illustrious list of fans to his credit.
Leaving Chelsea in a shock exit, the youngster has comparatively a better environment for himself at Anfield. He just needs to keep working on himself and make the transition to senior football. At least motivation will certainly not be factor with such high praise around.
