Jurgen Klopp says he hopes Roberto Firmino will be fit to face Everton in the Merseyside Derby this weekend after the Brazilian underwent a scan.
Liverpool obliterated Manchester United on Tuesday in spite of Firmino’s absence, scoring four times as Luis Diaz, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah (2) got in on the act.
Each forward got an assist as the attack combined to send their rivals back to Manchester with their tails between their legs.

Speaking after the 4-0 win at Anfield, Klopp told Sky Sports, via Liverpoolfc.com, that he hopes to have the forward fit for this weekend’s test vs. Everton.
The boss said: “Bobby was not involved because in the very last situation of the City game he got something on his foot. It’s not really bad.”
When asked if the former Hoffenheim star will be fit to face Everton, Klopp replied: “We hope so.
“Actually, we were a bit worried but the scan was fine. But it’s still very painful and that’s why there was no chance [against Man United].”

The 30-year-old has had an odd season as injury and competition have cut his time on the pitch short but when he’s been involved he’s been fantastic.
Despite suffering four injuries that have sidelined him for a total of 20 games, Firmino has still chipped in with 11 goals and 4 assists.
His brace against Benfica ultimately proved to be the key difference in the tie as Liverpool progressed to the Champions League semi-finals where they are set to face Alberto Moreno’s Villarreal.
Firmino then played 5 minutes in the 3-2 FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City where he sustained a foot injury Klopp says had him and the coaching staff “a bit worried”.
Fortunately, it seems as though he could recover in time to face Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.
