Liverpool move onto the second part of their pre-season as they jet off to Germany to face Bundesliga’s RB Leipzig.

The Reds have finished their tour of Asia which saw them face off against Manchester United in Bangkok before heading to Singapore to beat Crystal Palace.

They will face Leipzig in the Red Bull arena in Germany before heading to Austria to play their Salzburg counterparts.

The friendly will be a return for Ibrahima Konate and Naby Keita to their former club.

The Reds have some injury concerns from their Asia tour heading into this friendly.

Diogo Jota pulled up with a hamstring injury last week and is set to be out for the start of the Premier League season in two weeks’ time; don’t expect to see him for the rest of pre-season.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been linked with a move away this week but the former Arsenal player was forced off after 44 minutes against Crystal Palace with a muscle that’s likely to see him miss Liverpool’s next two games.

Alisson too suffered an abdominal issue which saw him sit out the win over Palace and should miss this game too but could return for RB Salzburg.

Defender Joe Gomez was left out as a precaution but is now back in training, while Kaide Gordon, Caoimhin Kelleher and Calvin Ramsay are unlikely to be risked just yet either.

Fans will be hoping to see Darwin Nunez get longer than 30 minutes alongside his new attacking partners in Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz.

The German side also has some issues heading into this game with the highly-coveted Josko Gvardiol who is still recovering from a thigh injury and the subsequent surgery ahead of the new season.

Forward Yussuf Poulsen is also likely to miss out after suffering a muscular injury whilst on international duty with Denmark.

Whilst Ademola Lookman may also miss out after suffering a knock to the ankle in training last week.

Manager Domenico Tedesco should field a strong starting XI with Peter Gulacsi, a former Liverpool player from 2008-2013, should be handed the gloves. While former Palace forward Alexander Sorloth should lead the line in Poulsen’s absence.
