Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reminded fans to not forget about their rising midfield star in Tyler Morton when talking about the lack of midfield signings.
Liverpool have been linked with signing a midfielder for the duration of the window so far with Jude Bellingham and Nicolo Barella.
Klopp claims he is happy with the midfield options he has right now as he broke his silence on the topic the other day.
He also heaped praise onto Morton who’s been impressing in pre-season so far and hinted he could play a bigger role in the squad this year.

Klopp waxed lyrical about the 19-year-old midfielder, detailing how a position change has helped get the best out of the Wallasey local.
He said: “By the way, Tyler Morton in training, incredible! He plays as a No.8 now, we don’t force him to play as a controlling No.6 in a Premier League game [like versus Spurs]. He’s training as an 8, and it’s like ‘wow, how good is that?!’ He’s still here.
“There’s really a lot of excitement for this situation from our side, and like I say, if you want guarantees then you have to look somewhere else. We work a lot with expectations, and our starting point most of the time is very, very positive.”
Speaking to Sky Sports about the Liverpool academy product’s qualities, Klopp said: “Tyler Morton has definitely made the next steps.
“He played good games for us but at 6 when he’s actually an 8. When you see him now training, absolutely exceptional.”
Morton started one Premier League last year against Tottenham away in a chaotic 2-2 draw. He also added back-to-back 90 minute appearances in the Champions League group stages at home against Porto and away at AC Milan, impressing in both.
Klopp answered the critics regarding the lack of creativity and output in his midfield: “What do we need…creativity? If we bring in a player just for that, we immediately make it more difficult for Harvey [Elliott], Curtis [Jones] and Fabio. So where is the need for a midfielder?

Klopp recently broke his silence on the current state of his Liverpool side claiming that they have enough depth and quality to compete once again.
He defended the lack of a midfield signing by pointing towards the quality of his young stars in Harvey Elliot and Curtis Jones.
Both are seen as the future of their midfield and the pair have combined for a total of 94 games so far.
It’s very likely they will receive more game time this season alongside Fabinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita Thiago and Henderson, with James Milner also deputising where needed.
