Jurgen Klopp has said, according to Paul Joyce, that Liverpool will reach an agreement over new personal terms with Jordan Henderson.
Reporting from his Twitter account, something he saves for major news, Paul Joyce reports that Henderson will agree a new contract with the club.
He cites Klopp as saying: “It will happen. We will sort it. No doubt about that.”

When the Athletic broke the news that there was no real progress being made over new terms for Henderson at the start of August, supporters were dismayed.
It’s an indication of how far Hendo has come that the Reds are so onside with the skipper as it hasn’t been the case since the beginning.
However, hard work, maturity and growth over the last 10 years have seen Liverpool supporters come to love Henderson and nobody wants to see him leave.
He’s a part of the fabric of the club and news that Klopp expects him to extend his contract can only come be greeted with relief.

Henderson isn’t just an important player and one of the best Liverpool captains in my lifetime but the Sunderland-born midfielder has also proven to be an incredible person.
His work in the Liverpool community as well as his dedication to eradicating racism and online bullying over the last 12 months has been an inspiration to see and it’s part of why supporters have become so attached to him.
Much like Marcus Rashford, he’s not an ordinary footballer and if there’s anyone who deserves a contract extension and a wage increase to further continue his community work, it’s him.

With Henderson expected to be back fully fit soon and Virgil van Dijk gearing up following his ACL tear, the Reds are aiming to return to their Premier League title-winning form.
If they can do that, even with their rivals splashing the cash, there’s no reason why they can’t challenge for the title again this season.
