Italian side interested in Liverpool star but he’s worth more than they’re prepared to pay

Liverpool had a relatively quiet summer transfer window, with only Federico Chiesa arriving at Anfield, and few notable departures.

Fabio Carvalho completed a £27 million move to Brentford, and Joel Matip also left the club.

However, the winter transfer window could be busier for the Reds, with potential exits and new additions on the horizon. Among the latest rumours is that Liverpool centre-back Jarell Quansah is being linked with a move to Inter Milan.

Inter Milan interested in signing Jarell Quansah

According to Inter Live, Inter Milan have set their sights on signing Liverpool’s Jarell Quansah during the upcoming January transfer window.

The Italian giants are reportedly keen on securing the services of the 21-year-old, with a possible bid of around £16 million being floated as enough to tempt Liverpool into a sale.

Quansah, who started Liverpool’s opening day win against Ipswich, has since struggled for game time under Arne Slot, with Ibrahima Konate preferred at center-back.

Despite his limited minutes, Quansah remains a promising talent and has attracted interest from various clubs. Inter are reportedly interested in bringing him to Serie A next summer, but a winter move could be on the cards if Liverpool are open to offers.

With Liverpool potentially looking to bring in reinforcements, Slot may be willing to offload Quansah to free up funds for new signings.

Quansah worth at least £40 million

While Inter Milan’s reported £16 million bid might sound reasonable, it appears to significantly undervalue the young defender.

Quansah, an England under-21 international, has shown enough potential to command a higher transfer fee.

Given the inflated prices in the current market, it’s likely Liverpool would expect at least £40 million for the talented centre-back.

Earlier in the year, Quansah was even linked with a possible move to Newcastle United as part of the deal that brought Anthony Gordon to Anfield.

Though the Magpies ultimately failed to secure Marc Guehi, they may reignite their interest in Quansah as they continue to seek defensive reinforcements.

With the January window fast approaching, it remains to be seen whether Quansah will be on the move.

However, given his potential and Liverpool’s need to refresh their squad, the next few months could prove to be pivotal in the young defender’s career.

Whether he stays at Anfield or takes the next step abroad, Quansah’s future looks set to be one of the key stories heading into the winter transfer period.
