Former Liverpool and Real Madrid player Steve McManaman has claimed we won’t see another 5-0 drubbing from Liverpool.
The Reds decimated Manchester United 5-0 which saw a mass walkout the likes of which we hadn’t seen at United. Mohamed Salah scored a hattrick and it was a famous win for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Now they both face each other, neither with a victory so far, in what is going to be a great night of action.
But McManaman believes the game will be a tighter affair given how neither can afford a loss.
🗣 "I listened to Gabby Agbonlahor, he lost against us 6-0 in my first year, I couldn't remember him as a mentality monster on the pitch."

McManaman’s comments
Former Liverpool and Madrid player McManaman has revealed why he doesn’t believe Liverpool will walk away as heavy winners at Old Trafford on Monday.
The BT Sport pundit claimed they will be focused on the win and the win only and getting three-point is all that matters, which is why he believes less goals will be scored.
The Champions League winner told Horseracing.net : “I wouldn’t have thought that it would be another pasting. The way Manchester City have played means that Liverpool just have to win. Arsenal have six points, Chelsea and Tottenham have four, so Liverpool just need the victory.
“I’d be surprised if Liverpool won at Old Trafford in the fashion they did last season because United are going to have to have a plan that can curtail the way that Liverpool play, stop them playing, then see if they can get a result.
🔥 “It’s the biggest game in English football- #MUFC v #LFC!”
😰 “If United lose it’s a massive story- Ten Hag's under huge pressure!”
😳 “But if Klopp loses it, 2 points after 3 games?! Who would’ve thought that!”

“They can’t play like they have done the last two games. They’ve been so open and if they play like that against Liverpool then they are in trouble. I fully expect them to change it around and become a lot tighter.
“They may go into the fixture playing like an away team and just hoping they can nick a goal somewhere. They can’t be as expansive as they have been, they just can’t.”
The Reds are desperate to secure their first win of the campaign, having drawn the opening two games forfeiting a four-point lead to City already.
Liverpool need a win and United need a reaction, the stakes are high for both sides and it is shaping up to be one of those nights you do not miss.
