Liverpool are expected to back Arne Slot with significant funds in the January transfer window after the Dutchman has fashioned a rousing start to the new season.
The new Reds boss has made a real impact on the team who are sitting at the summit of the Premier League table after winning five of their opening six league games.
A good start to the Champions League campaign has further strengthened Slot’s hand at Anfield and he has already won over the Liverpool faithful.
Liverpool supporters were left disappointed in the summer transfer window when the club failed to sign a number 6, which was a priority for the club.
Slot has done well to refashion Ryan Gravenberch into a defensive midfielder but the club are keen to bring in a top-class number 6 in the winter transfer window.
However, they could have more market opportunities to further strengthen the squad in January if certain players become available for a fee in the upcoming months.
Club could sell Liverpool target termed ‘Mohamed Salah successor’ in January
Omar Marmoush has made a brilliant start to the season at Eintracht Frankfurt despite the speculation over his future at the club in the summer.
Liverpool were amongst the Premier League clubs who showed interest in the forward who has scored six times in five Bundesliga appearances this season.
However, the German side managed to hold on to the player and are reaping the benefits of keeping Marmoush at the club.
Marmoush, who has been termed the successor to Mohamed Salah in Egypt, is only attracting more interest ahead of the January transfer window.
Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche stressed that the forward has a lot of development ahead of him and insisted that they do not want to lose their top players.
However, he conceded that the club can’t rule out selling any player despite their commitment to wanting to keep the current team together.
“It is true that Omar made a clear commitment to us in the summer. He has developed well and still has a lot of potential to develop further”, Krosche told fussball.news.
“For us, the rule is: we don’t want to lose so many key players.”
Asked if he can say that Marmoush won’t be sold in the winter window: “I have to honestly say that no Eintracht player is unsellable.
“We want to keep the team together.”
