Gini Wijnaldum is officially no longer a Liverpool player after his contract expired at midnight on Wednesday and is now a PSG star after signing a contract with the Parisians.
At midnight on Wednesday, Georginio Wijnaldum’s contract with Liverpool expired and after he reached an agreement with PSG, he has officially left the club.
Despite suggestions that Liverpool are not looking to sign a new midfielder this summer, the Reds are weighing up their options in that department.

They have already cooled interest in Florian Neuhaus and Yves Bissouma but Sport1 confirmed that Leon Goretzka is in talks with Engish clubs and Liverpool are one of those sides.
The German was sent home from the EUROs on Tuesday as the Three Lions won 2-0 in the Round of 16 and he is now free to sort his future out.
Transfermarkt values him at €73.4million (£63m) and while Liverpool stepped back from negotiations to sign Bissouma after being told he will cost £50m, Goretzka is on another level.

He is two years older than the Brighton star and while the Maili international can make up the gulf in class over the next couple years, Goretzka has the experience and quality needed to come in and make an immediate impact at Anfield.
His strength is incredible and at 1.89m, he would beef up the Reds’ engine room considerably.
With Ibrahima Konate set to partner Virgil van Dijk at the start of the 2021/22 Premier League season, adding Goretzka’s height to the mix would further strengthen Liverpool’s ability to dominate set-pieces at both ends of the pitch.

His attacking instincts are certainly stronger than his defensive abilities but he is still a player that can help the Reds defend and is a menace when pressing from the front.
That said, he is most effective going forward. In all competitions for Bayern Munich this season, he got 8 goals and 9 assists.
