Fabio Carvalho already looks at home in Liverpool’s first team and he could soon be a regular in Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI.
The Portugal midfielder has been a breath of fresh in pre-season and has fans extremely excited about how he can alter the Reds’ attacking approach.
While Curtis Jones plays on the left side of Liverpool’s midfield at times, Carvalho offers an entirely different approach to advancing attacking play and is a more direct option.
Carvalho looks at home in Liverpool training camp
With every clip I’ve seen in the last few days on LFCTV, Carvalho looks more and more at home in this Liverpool squad.
It’s no surprise given how inclusive the group is but it’s really encouraging to see the young playmaker growing in confidence as each day of pre-season passes.
Only one winner, right Fabio? 🤣 #LFCPreSeason pic.twitter.com/JhGDmzwmCE

Luis Diaz, Fabinho and Thiago seem to have taken him under their wing and can always be spotted joking and bantering with him.
Klopp excited about his new 19-year-old attacking midfielder
Carvalho’s display against RB Leipzig was hopefully a sign of things to come in the new season.
Klopp doesn’t have a player like him. Harvey Elliott is similar but having someone like Carvalho – who’s blessed with expert finishing and is more direct – only balances the squad even more.
We’ve got another one here, Reds.

Klopp is expected to test him on the left at times next season but he will likely play most of his minutes on the left of the Liverpool midfield in an advanced box-to-box role.
Similar to the one Coutinho played in the final six months of his Liverpool career.
But the 19-year-old offers a much different and more direct approach to driving forward from midfield.
His abilities only serve to make Liverpool an even scarier prospect on the break.
