Liverpool held a spontaneous meeting with Sheyi Ojo’s agent on Monday after his representation, Elite Project Group, met with Manchester United.
As Neil Jones reported on Monday afternoon, Ojo is one of the players that Liverpool plan to offload this summer to raise funds for incomings but they are currently battling to generate interest.
Anfield Central has been told by a source close to the player’s agency that the Reds want to sell Ojo (24) for £5million which isn’t a huge fee but he got just 5 goals and 7 assists in 41 Championship appearances this season.

For comparison, Harvey Elliott, who is still only 18 years old, managed 7 goals and 11 assists in the same number of appearances and Liverpool will not listen to offers for a permanent move this summer.
On Monday, representatives from Elite Project Group, the same agency that looks after Jadon Sancho’s affairs, met with Liverpool regarding the player’s future.
They met with Manchester United as talks over the Englishman’s proposed move to Old Trafford rumble on with Borussia Dortmund standing firm on their valuation of the player as the Red Devils have failed with another bid.
The appointment was scheduled as United look to find a way to bridge the gap between the offers they’ve made Dortmund and the amount they’re willing to pay.
Sport1 journalist Patrik Berger says that BVB believe that the Red Devils “don’t know how good Sancho really is” as they continue to low ball the Bundesliga outfit.

Liverpool are no longer interested in signing Sancho as the finances involved are far too high to be considered feasible for the Merseysiders.
It was a spontaneous meeting with Ojo’s agent as they discussed what to do to bring the 24-year-old’s time as a Liverpool player to a close. Cardiff City are open to another loan but the Reds want to sell him.
Sending him out on loan would be considered a failure and so right now the Merseysiders and the player’s agent are working to drum up interest as there are yet to be any approaches regarding permanent moves to sign Ojo.
The same source that told us a meeting was held with his agent claims that ‘several’ clubs have enquired about taking him on loan but with just two years remaining on his contract, Liverpool want to sell him now to avoid losing him for below £1million next summer.
