‘Everything points’ at star man leaving Liverpool next summer

Liverpool have made an outstanding start to the season and new manager Arne Slot has seamlessly replaced Jurgen Klopp at Anfield but there is brewing trouble for the club ahead as speculation over the future of several of their stars continues to hit the headlines.

The Merseyside giants are sitting at the summit of the Premier League table after seven games but headlines about stars potentially leaving the club continue to dominate the discourse around the club.

While Liverpool are growing more confident of keeping hold of Trent Alexander-Arnold with claims that he could sign a new deal before Christmas, the futures of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk remain unsorted.

Salah is a club icon and is set to go down as an Anfield legend but there is a chance he could be moving on from the club at the end of the season.

He has yet to sign a new deal and the lure of signing a big contract with one of the clubs in Saudi Arabia continues to be a massive lure for the Egyptian.

Liverpool are looking at potential replacements but their priority would be to hold on to a player who doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.

However, it has been claimed that Salah is more likely to leave Anfield next summer than sign a new contract to extend his stay.

Saudi Arabia is the likely destination for the Liverpool star

Salah has kept his counsel as Liverpool have continued to hold talks with his representatives over a potential new deal.

He has other suitors, including a few in Europe, but Liverpool are convinced that he won’t leave to join one of their Champions League rivals.

However, according to Fichajes, it looks almost certain that Salah will sign one last big contract with Saudi Arabia and move on from Liverpool on a free transfer next summer.

In just over two months the forward would be open to discussing a pre-contract with clubs outside England.

Some have even indicated that Liverpool would not have allowed the impasse to reach this stage if they had any intention of holding on to him.

For the moment, everything is pointing towards one conclusion – Liverpool are likely to lose their star man for nothing next summer.
