Peter Crouch has put in his early predictions ahead of Sunday’s Liverpool v Man United clash. Meanwhile Ian Rush has held out warning signs for manager Arne Slot.
Back to back defeats saw Liverpool sliding down the table to second place. Their once winning run of five games coming to an abrupt end with losses to Crystal Palace and Chelsea. A five-point lead turning into a one-point deficit as Arsenal sit on top.
Meanwhile Manchester United are having a topsy turvy season. They are currently tenth on the table and a win at Anfield will take them to within 2 points of Pool.

Crouch and Rush declare their predictions

When speaking on That Peter Crouch podcast, the former Liverpool man is predicting a victory for his former side. “Alright, listen, Manchester United are struggling, I would say. They played better against Sunderland, but I’m going to go for a 3-1 Liverpool win”, predicting a comfortable win.
Ruben Amorim nearly snatched three points when the sides played out a 2-2 draw at Anfield last season. However Slot will be prepared to prevent that from happening this term.
One of the main problems facing Liverpool this season is that all of the summer signings, except Ekitike, have underwhelmed since arriving at Anfield. But Reds remain confident that their signings will come around.
Rush holds warning signs for Slot
Liverpool legend Ian Rush feels Alexander Isak should be eased into the team with Hugo Ekitike being be the preferred option up front. “I think Isak, he just needs match fitness at the moment because what happened in the summer, I think he’s still not match fit”, Rush told talkSPORT
“So we’ve got to bring him in slowly. Ekitike, he’s been fantastic for us. You know, he’s most probably the main man at the moment. So I think we’ve just got to give it time and see how it goes.”, the five-time league winner with Liverpool explained.
