Could current Premier League champions Liverpool be a potential landing spot for Dortmund star Erling Haaland?
Interestingly, that is the opinion of RB Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund. He told Lothar Matthäus: “He will land there (Liverpool)” during an interview with the former German international.

Freund spent 12 months with Haaland before the Norwegian moved to Dortmund in January of this year.
Neutral fans around Europe saw that his move to Dortmund as more of a stopgap rather than a career move. The German side have a reputation for developing young players and propelling them to stardom.
Interestingly, before the move, Haaland was heavily linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid and Manchester United. There is already a direct relationship between Liverpool and RB Salzburg. With current players Naby Keita, Sadio Mane and Takumi Minamino all playing for the Austrian side at some point.
But would a move for Haaland make sense for Jurgen Klopp’s side? It has been hard to ignore the decline in form of Roberto Firmino, with his goals and assists output dropping significantly.
Whereas, Haaland already has eight goals and three assists in just nine games in all competitions this season.
With a buy out clause of just £75 million and still only 20 years old, the opportunity to sign one of the most exciting prospects in Europe could be too big to turn down.
