The next Vinicius Jr: Liverpool contacted £83m 15-year-old star’s agent before Carvalho collapse- Put Plan B in motion?

Endrick - Liverpool transfer target after Fabio Carvalho transfer collapse as potential long-term Philippe Coutinho heir.

Liverpool were in contact with 15-year-old Palmeiras striker Endrick’s agent before the collapse of Fulham attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho’s move to Liverpool on deadline day.

After a long, difficult day of negotiations, Fulham eventually agreed to an £8m fee for the 19-year-old on Monday evening after a medical was passed at 7pm before a contract was drawn up at 8pm, as per James Pearce.

Yet, it was a long day and the Reds ran out of time. The 11pm deadline arrived before the paperwork for the attacking midfielder’s move to Anfield and the “non-negotiable” loan back to Craven Cottage was submitted as deal sheets are not used in the Championship if clubs can prove that they’ve reached an agreement.

While all “parties could agree on a deal for the summer that ensures, a tribunal isn’t required“, there is no guarantee that Carvalho doesn’t change his mind and decides to move to Borussia Dortmund for more game time and so Liverpool will need to assess opportunities in the transfer market.

What if a certain 15-year-old from Palmeiras is that opportunity after the Reds held talks with the Brazilian in Janaury?

The Next Vinicius Jr: Endrick from Palmeiras – Liverpool held agent talks

Liverpool reportedly face the prospect of paying up to five times more for Endrick’s coveted signature as he is being offered a new contract with a huge release clause that even some current Reds stars wouldn’t sell for.

Much like English talent, Brazilian teens are often sold at a premium as they are very often some of the best players in the world as we have seen after Real Madrid paid £38m to sign Vinicius Jr in 2017 only for him to turn into one of the best wingers in the world and is currently valued at £90million.

Los Blancos have over doubled their investment and while they’ll likely never sell the Brazil international, it just goes to show that sometimes it pays off to spend big on the top young stars in the world instead of looking to coach them from the age of 5.

Endrick has scored 160 goals (0.97 goals per game – elite) and several top clubs in Europe are monitoring him closely ahead of his 16th birthday.

A report from Yahoo Esportes claims that Liverpool, the Manchester clubs, Barcelona and Real Madrid have contacted Endrick’s agent to register their interest in signing him should he want to move.

Fresh report claims release clause will increase Endrick’s value to £83million

The final line in the report from Yahoo Esportes claimed that in order to ‘get him out of Allianz Parque’ (Palmeiras’ home ground), Liverpool would need to pay “a fine equivalent to 200 times the investment made by Verdão with scholarship, studies, training, health and housing. ”

It’s unclear how much this would cost but AS reports he has a release clause in his current contract that is worth €17m (£14m) so we can assume they are the same thing but the same report has bad news for any plans Liverpool might have of signing Endrick.

Palmeiras chiefs plan to renew Endrick’s contract with a €100m (£83m) release clause.

It would be a major obstacle for the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid and signing him was a Plan B after Fabio Carvalho’s move to Anfield fell through, I hope Michael Edwards and Julian Ward have a Plan C!
