Concerning Mo Salah contract development

Mohamed Salah and Eden Hazard have been teammates at Chelsea

The Mohamed Salah contract situation at Liverpool remains unsorted while the forward continues to deliver on the pitch for the Merseyside giant.

Salah will be out of contract at the end of the season and Liverpool have been in talks with his representatives over a new deal but no new agreement is in place.

As things stand, the Egpytian will be free to discuss a pre-contract with clubs outside England from Janaury and agree to a move on a free transfer well before the end of the season.

The forward has continued to perform on the pitch and scored his seventh Premier League goal of the season in Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Brighton at Anfield over the weekend.

Liverpool want to tie him down to a new deal but they are yet to find a breakthrough in talks despite suggestions that Salah would prefer to stay at Anfield.

Salah has remained quiet about his future but the forward seems to be putting some pressure on the club to sort out the issue soon.

The Mohamed Salah contract situation gets a fresh twist

Salah was again brilliant as he helped Liverpool to three points and to the top of the Premier League table on Saturday.

The forward, who is not known for being a prolific social media user, spoke on X on Sunday and talked about the feeling of being a champion and scoring at Anfield.

He thanked the Liverpool fans for their support and some felt that hints were dropped that he could be moving on from the club at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old is yet to talk about his contract situation but it seems the forward is now getting restless about the delays in negotiations between the club and his representatives.

“Top of the table is where this club belongs. Nothing less”, he wrote on X.

“All teams win matches but there’s only 1 champion in the end. That’s what we want.

“Thank you for your support last night. No matter what happens, I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like.”

Salah has scored 220 goals for Liverpool since his arrival and sits fifth in the all-time list of goalscorers for the Reds.
