Club president confirms Anfield Central exclusive as deal to sign attacking midfielder is completed

Liverpool have completed a deal to sign Fatawu Issahaku from Steadfast FC, the club’s president has confirmed after Anfield Central exclusively reported on the story over the last week.

On Thursday morning, we reported that Issahaku had chosen Liverpool over Manchester United and it’s now official. The player will go on loan to Sporting Lisbon until he qualifies for a work permit.

The Mancunians tried to gazump the Reds and were willing to cover the player’s living expenses in Portgual and despite Issahaku’s agents making several mistakes recently, they advised him to choose Liverpool over Manchester.

A club insider has kept us up to date on the player’s transfer story which for the time being is at a close. He will eventually move to Merseyside but he will need to change his agent as the club has given him an ultimatum.

Football Ghana quote President and owner of Division One League side, Steadfast FC, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu as saying: “When I started negotiation for Abdul Issahaku Fatawu’s move to abroad, it started from more than 1 million euros and this means if we get corporate sponsorships, we can do better.

“We need to do more to make our football attractive and by doing that we get more hands-on board to sponsor our football because on weekends, football is the business everywhere so I am pleading to the corporate world.

“I am doing Steadfast for the love of football and for the people of my home town.”
