According to the Sun, Brighton are monitoring Liverpool attacking midfielder Harvey Elliott with a view to signing him in the ongoing transfer window.
The Seagulls are keen to add more creativity to their squad and believe the 22-year-old can take them to the next level if he joins the club.
Brighton also feel the presence of former Liverpool vice-captain James Milner at the club will help to convince the midfielder to move to the Amex Stadium in the ongoing window.
They have the funds to do a deal and are ready to offer around £40m to sign the attacking midfielder this summer.
Elliott wants to play more first-team football next season, and could see Brighton as the ideal launchpad to rekindle his career.
