Nat Phillip is set to join Liverpool and join West Brom following a medical

Nat Phillips is closing on leaving Liverpool on a permanent deal, with West Brom on the verge of signing him this week.

According to The Athletic, the 28-year-old centre-back is undergoing a medical ahead of moving to the Hawthorns this summer.

The defender attracted interest from several Championship clubs following a productive loan spell at Derby County last season.

However, new West Brom boss Ryan Mason convinced the player to join him at the Hawthorns over other destinations this summer.

Phillips will report for pre-season testing along with his new teammates at West Brom later this week and start a new chapter of his career.

It brings to an end Phillips’ long association with Liverpool, dating back to 2016 when he was signed from the Bolton Wanderers academy.

Jurgen Klopp handed him his debut against Everton in an FA Cup tie in January 2020, and he went on to make 29 senior appearances for the club.
