Borussia Dortmund have agreed personal terms with Donyell Malen as Liverpool are struck a major blow in their pursuit of the Dutchman.
The source that acted as an intermediary between the father of Ryan Gravenberch Jr. and Anfield Central has now learned that Dortmund have taken a major step towards signing Malen this summer.
After he and his teammates were eliminated from the EUROs at the hands of the Czech Republic, Dortmund accelerated their plans to sign him and, after getting in contact with Mino Raiola, an agreement has been reached over personal terms.
Our source doesn’t know the exact wage that has been agreed but was told it’s a five-year contract worth in the region of €100,000/week.
The good news for Liverpool supporters is that the Reds are in contact with Raiola as well and that BVB are yet to reach an agreement with PSV Eindhoven over a transfer fee.
There is a chance that Liverpool can beat Dortmund to the Dutchman but as things stand, the Bundesliga side is in the driving seat.
The Reds are in need of a new centre-forward to cover and compete with Roberto Firmino for game time after a season that saw him score just 9 times in the Premier League.
