Atletico Madrid have approached Liverpool, enquiring about Roberto Firmino’s future with the Reds but Jurgen Klopp has no intentions of selling.
This is according to a source close to Anfield Central. We’re told that Liverpool responded to Atleti with the most unambiguous message – he’s not for sale under any circumstances.
While the Brazilian has had a sub-par season by his standards, Klopp sees him as a key part of his squad and has no intentions of selling him to Atletico Madrid or any other team for that matter.

He might have blanked again but Firmino was fantastic against Arsenal during his side’s 3-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
His counter-pressing, interceptions, silky link-up play and dribbling helped Liverpool set the tempo early on, with the Gunners trapped in their third of the pitch for most of the game.
While Firmino’s contract with Liverpool expires in two years, there is no concern from the Anfield outfit over what will happen as they are confident that the former Hoffenheim star will renew when the time comes to negotiate a new deal.
Transfermarkt value the forward at £49.5m but Liverpool are not looking to sell him at this point in time.
For the time being, the main focus is on finishing the season strongly before making a big push next season. Liverpool can still win the Champions League and are focused on making the Premier League top four again.
