Liverpool are staring at a consequential transfer window after winning the Premier League with four games left. The owners are prepared to back Arne Slot with five new signings, but the club are also expected to sell several players in the coming months.
Slot has consolidated his power at Liverpool by delivering the Premier League title in his first season, and will have a major say on transfer dealings this summer.
Richard Hughes, Liverpool’s sporting director, is leading the recruitment process, but he cannot afford to ignore the input of a Premier League-winning manager.
Slot wants to move on several players to make way for new signings, but the Liverpool boss has made a curious decision on one fringe star ahead of the summer.
Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?
Slot changes mind on fringe star

Liverpool are expected to sell as many as ten players this summer, but one player is almost certain to stay at Anfield next season.
According to The Athletic, the Liverpool manager is looking forward to next season with midfield Wataru Endo in his plans.
The Japanese midfielder has played just 157 minutes of football in the Premier League and is nothing more than a fringe element in the Reds’ squad.
However, Slot wants him at the club next season as he considers Endo a valuable squad player whose presence becomes important when he needs to close out tight games.
He still has two years left on his contract, and several Premier League sides are interested in getting their hands on the midfielder this summer.
However, the decision has been made, and Slot does not want to see Endo leaving Liverpool in the upcoming transfer window.
It remains to be seen whether the midfielder pushes for a transfer if a club are prepared to guarantee him regular minutes.
