“Both teams (Man City and Arsenal) are very well managed,” – Liverpool manager Arne Slot
The Dutch manager expressed his opinions regarding Manchester City and Arsenal. When asked about dark arts, this is what had to say,
“If I look at Arsenal and City it doesn’t even come to my mind about tactical fouls or dark arts, it only comes to my mind how well they play.”
“And that both teams for every second of the game have an idea what they want, what their principles are how they want to play.”
Slot blamed the media for the dark arts at play in football. He also claimed that his players are experienced enough to handle such situations.
“It’s your (media) words that they are implementing those tactics. The only thing I know is that my players are experienced and they know how to handle certain situations.”
The manager also praised City and Arsenal for their play style. He mentioned that the title race will be tough despite Arsenal’s early setback.
“Both teams are very well managed and you can see that at both clubs there are two managers who have worked there for a long time because they implemented a playing style now for every second. That is what comes to mind when I think about Arsenal and City.”
Emotions and maintaining calm during matches
“But we are also human beings and human beings have emotions. We sometimes feel – if it is right or wrong, let’s not judge that – that if too many decisions go against you, then emotions take the most out of you.”
Slot has been very calm since his inception as Liverpool’s boss. However, there were times when he lost his temper against Chelsea. The Duchman respected his limits as a human being accepting emotions as a part of this existence.
