Liverpool fans will not be delighted to hear that Andy Robertson has been photographed wearing a moon boot and on crutches.

The Reds faced Athletic Bilbao on Sunday and looked great, with a front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota in fantastic form.

The latter scored the home side’s only goal and while he might have had a second had his shot not been cleared off the line following a spectacular counter-attack, fans full return to Anfield was marred by Robbo’s injury.

He has now been spotted on crutches and while it would appear Liverpool are still waiting on scans on his ankle, it doesn’t look good.

Jurgen Klopp said after the game: “We obviously don’t know in the moment how serious it is. It was pretty painful and that’s why Andy went off.

“You probably saw it on the TV pictures better than we did, but he got the ball, the ball on the front of his foot, [and] twisted the ankle.

“The pain settled already, but we cannot say anything further without further assessment tomorrow. He has to get a scan and then we will know more.”
