With Darwin Nunez, Calvin Ramsey, Fabio Carvalho and new deals for Joe Gomez and Mohamed Salah completed, it’s safe to say that this window has been exciting for fans.

Outgoings
Sadio Mane
Selling Sadio Mane felt like a big transition moment for this Liverpool team, especially considering he’s been at the club since 2016 and has been there every single step of the way with Jurgen Klopp.
He parted ways with the club for a new challenge in Germany with Bayern Munich for a fee of around £35m.
Whilst Liverpool will miss the 23 goals he scored last season, they will hope Nunez can replicate those numbers and more as their new focal point.
With Mane now 30 and showing signs of a slight decline, it felt like the right choice to prioritise Salah’s deal over keeping Mane in a bittersweet sliding doors moment for Liverpool.

Neco Williams
The Welsh full-back was sold to Nottingham Forrest for a fee of around £18m earlier this month in what was a great financial deal for the club.
Williams, 21, wasn’t deemed good enough to be Trent Alexander-Arnold’s backup and with less than 500 PL minutes under his belt, a fee of £18m is a great business that has been re-invested well.

Divock Origi
Origi, 27, became a cult hero at Liverpool for scoring some incredibly important and iconic goals in his time at the club, but the fringe forward has finally moved on to AC Milan.
Leaving the club on a free transfer, Liverpool were happy to recoup the £4m a year they were paying him as he moves onto pastures new. The signings of Nunez and Carvalho should help to fill the void.

Takumi Minamino
Another Liverpool fringe attacker, Minamino, 27, struggled for game time at Liverpool but was key to their domestic cup triumphs in the early rounds of the FA and Carabao Cups.
Leaving for AS Monaco for £13M, he gets a shot at first-team football and Liverpool make a profit on the original purchase – a win-win for all.

Ben Davies
Davies, 26, signed in the middle of their centre-back crisis in January 2021 but never saw a minute of action for Liverpool in his year and a half at the club. He spent his time on the bench before heading out on loan at Sheffield United last season.
Rangers have signed the defender for £4M, almost £2.5M more than Liverpool originally paid Preston last year – another Ward masterclass here.

Marko Grujic
Grujic, 26, has always threatened to break into Liverpool’s squad in the past but has barely featured since signing in January 2016 and has spent most of his time out on loan.
Liverpool have finally cut the cord with this player, letting him join Porto in a deal worth £10M – a profit on the original £6m paid six years ago.
Sheyi Ojo
Ojo, now 25, was a young talent breaking through as a teenager but failed to secure a place in the first-team squad. He leaves on a free and joins Cardiff.
Ben Woodburn
Once seen as a special talent, Woodburn (22) has joined Preston on a free transfer after failing to break through at Liverpool.
Rhys Williams
A player who helped Liverpool to qualify for the Champions League during their injury crisis season has headed to Blackpool on a loan move designed to give him an opportunity to play regular football in the highly competitive Championship.
Loris Karius
The former Liverpool number one endured a torrid Champions League final against Real Madrid and never recovered from that final. After a couple of loan spells, the 29-year-old has left the club and is now a free agent.
