Adam Lallana hopes that Brighton can do Liverpool a favour in the Premier League title race by taking points off Manchester City when they meet on Wednesday.
Just one point separates the two sides heading into the final two games of the season.

It ended 3-2 thanks to goals from Ibrahima Konate and Sadio Mane and while United beat Norwich City 3-2 themselves thanks to a Cristiano Ronaldo hattrick, that’s more of an indictment on their season than their ability to deal damage to Liverpool’s title hopes.
Ralf Rangnick has improved United marginally but the Red Devils will not have forgotten how Liverpool thrashed them 5-0 at Old Trafford before taking their foot off the gas in the second half.
It would cap off a perfect week if Liverpool beat United before Adam Lallana’s Brighton take points off Manchester City at the Etihad.
That’s what the 33-year-old says he is hoping for after the Seagulls beat both Tottenham and Arsenal in the Premier League.
Speaking after their victory in London on Saturday, Lallana said: “We’ve done them [Arsenal and Tottenham] both a favour.
“We can’t be biased. It’s wide open.
“It’s a great year in the Premier League. There’s tough teams week-in, week-out.
“We are one of them [and have caused] upsets this year against big teams. Hopefully, we can get one more on Wednesday night against City for my old team.”
