Aberdeen are on the verge of completing the signing of Brentford winger Tony Yogane, with a deal agreed between the two clubs.
The Dons have reached an agreement with the English Premier League side that will include a number of add-ons in Brentford’s favour.
Yogane has been given permission to travel north to finalise his move to Pittodrie, signalling the transfer is in its final stages.
The 20-year-old caught the eye during a loan spell at Dundee last season, where he made a strong impression in the second half of the campaign.
Aberdeen manager Stephen Robinson has moved decisively to secure the winger, identifying him as a player who can add creativity to his squad.
Yogane brings pace and power to the wing positions, qualities that Robinson believes will strengthen his side heading into the new season.
The winger made 41 appearances for Dundee last season, forming a productive relationship with head coach Steven Pressley, whom he had previously worked with at Brentford.
Pressley had been keen to bring Yogane back to Dens Park but admitted it was unlikely given how well the youngster had performed during his loan.
Brentford originally signed Yogane from Sheffield Wednesday in 2022, and he also gained further experience during a loan stint at Exeter City.
Aberdeen have already been active in the transfer market this summer, bringing in Lewis Mayo, Brad Lyons, Dan Happe, Alexander Briedl, Toyosi Olusanya, and Connor Ronan.
The Dons are also expected to move several players on before the window closes, as the club looks to free up wages.
Marko Lazetic, Ante Palaversa, and Nicolas Milanovic are all among those likely to depart Pittodrie this summer.
Aberdeen are currently back in pre-season training and will travel to the Netherlands for their pre-season camp ahead of the new campaign.
The Dons begin competitive action in the Premier Sports Cup, where they face Brora Rangers, Queen’s Park, Queen of the South, and Kelty Hearts.
