Celtic extended their flawless Scottish Premiership record to four wins from four games with a commanding 3-0 victory over Aberdeen at Celtic Park on September 2, 2026.
Camilo Duran, Benjamin Nygren, and Yang were all on target as the champions made light work of their visitors in a one-sided Glasgow showdown that was never in serious doubt.
The result cements Celtic’s position at the top of the Scottish Premiership standings as the defending champions show no signs of slowing their domestic momentum early in the campaign.
Nygren was among the scorers in a dominant first half, extending Celtic’s lead as the home side pressed Aberdeen relentlessly and refused to allow the visitors any foothold in the contest.
The half-time whistle came with Celtic already 3-0 ahead, effectively ending the contest before the second period had even begun at a buoyant Celtic Park.
Celtic had already collected maximum points before this fixture, opening their Premiership campaign with a 1-0 home win over Dundee FC before dismantling Kilmarnock 5-1 away from home.
A 2-1 victory against Falkirk followed, giving the champions three wins from three ahead of this fourth-round clash with Aberdeen, which they handled with similar authority.
The result will provide some domestic relief for Celtic, whose European campaign took a damaging turn when they squandered a four-goal lead in the Champions League play-off against Austrian side LASK.
Celtic ultimately lost that tie 5-4 on aggregate, dropping into the Europa League in a result that left supporters and management deeply frustrated heading into the new league season.
Aberdeen arrived at Celtic Park in difficult circumstances, sitting in 10th place in the standings after suffering back-to-back league defeats against Dundee and Rangers following their opening-day win over Hearts.
Martin O’Neill’s side could find no answer to Celtic’s intensity and quality on the night, with the champions controlling the match from start to finish to claim a thoroughly deserved three points.
With four wins from four and a perfect points tally so far, Celtic will look to carry this form forward as the 2026-27 Premiership season continues to build momentum in the weeks ahead.
