Chelsea have made their position clear on Joao Pedro, with reports confirming the club will not sell the striker this summer regardless of any offer received.
Journalist Ben Jacobs reported that Barcelona hold genuine interest in the Brazilian forward, with some early exploratory talks already having taken place between parties.
Jacobs stated: “Although Barcelona’s interest in Joao Pedro is genuine, and some exploratory talks have taken place, Chelsea are not prepared to sell.”
He added: “There is no price that will change the club’s stance this summer, even a world-record bid.”
Pedro joined Chelsea ahead of the 2024-25 season and quickly established himself as one of the more dependable attackers in the Premier League during his debut campaign.
The 24-year-old scored 20 goals across 49 appearances in all competitions, making him one of the club’s standout performers throughout the entire season.
Barcelona’s pursuit stems from their need to secure a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who will be departing the Camp Nou this summer after his contract situation was resolved.
The Catalan club views Pedro as a viable option to fill that void, given his age, goal output, and clear ability to perform at the highest level of European football.
Chelsea, however, have drawn a firm line in the sand and appear unwilling to entertain any negotiations, no matter how significant a fee Barcelona might table for the forward.
