Liverpool star drops bombshell transfer admission

Liverpool were crowned Premier League champions with four games to spare, but major changes are expected to take place over the summer. While the fans are focused on who the club could sign in the summer, there is also expected to be an exodus of players in the coming months.

Liverpool star opens up on future at Anfield

Harvey Elliott has been a bit-part player at Liverpool this season, and Arne Slot has not trusted him enough to start him in big games.

Liverpool are not actively looking to sell him, and he is also keen to stay, but the club could consider letting him go if they receive a big offer for the 22-year-old.

He admitted that he would like to stay at Liverpool, but conceded that he needs to make the best decision for his future.

The attacking midfielder insisted that a lot will depend on what Slot and the rest of the hierarchy want, and indicated that he is still not sure whether he will be at Liverpool next season.

“I hope that I can push on [next season]”, Elliott told Liverpool ECHO.

“This is my team, I am committed to them, and it’s just a situation that is always going to have a lot of talk, I just need to think about what is best for my future, my career and as much as I want it to be here.

“You never know what is going to happen around the corner. If I had it my way, that would be here, I would play each and every game here and stay here for the rest of my career but it all depends on managers, the people above and as I said you don’t know what could happen but as far as I am aware I am here, here to stay and this is the club I want to be at.

“Hopefully, I am still here to be honest. It is the best place to be, the best club to be at and especially having the fans around us at the moment, I don’t think there is a better place to be playing.

“Players go through ups and downs, but at the end of the day, you have to come out fighting, and I think it is within myself to make it happen. So hopefully I can stay here for the rest of my career.”

Elliott has suitors in the Premier League and Europe, and Liverpool want to see the level of bids they receive before taking a final call on his future at the club.
