Liverpool are still keen to sign another Premier League defender
Nottingham Forest have the third-best defensive record in the Premier League this season and are in the race to qualify for the Champions League.
Liverpool have been tracking Forest’s Murillo for months, and he was heavily linked with a move to Anfield in the winter transfer window.
According to CaughtOffSide, the Merseyside giants still hold an interest in getting their hands on the Brazilian centre-back ahead of the summer.
The Reds really admire the centre-back, and Forest’s defensive record this season shows that he is ready to play for one of the bigger clubs in the top flight.
Forest do not want to sell him, and are plotting to offer a new contract to Murillo ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, an offer of around £68.5m could likely force Forest to cash in on the centre-back in the coming months.
Arsenal are also interested in the centre-back, and will rival Liverpool for his signature if Murillo becomes available in the upcoming window.
