Liverpool are set to end its five-year partnership with Nike as their kit supplier, securing a new deal with Adidas for the 2025/26 season that could see the club earning significantly more than the current arrangement.
After a 13-year hiatus, Liverpool are reuniting with Adidas, and reports from Footy Headlines suggest that the agreement has already been signed.
While the official announcement is yet to be made, it’s anticipated that the club will reveal the lucrative deal early next year, similar to how they handled the Nike contract announcement in 2020.
Currently, Liverpool’s deal with Nike guarantees them £30 million per year, alongside a 20% royalty on all net merchandise sales excluding footwear. However, the new Adidas agreement is poised to surpass these figures, positioning Liverpool for even greater financial gains. This shift highlights the club’s ambition to not only reconnect with an iconic brand but also secure a more profitable future.
Liverpool’s contract with Nike expires at the end of the 2024/25 season, and the club has opted not to renew it, instead signing a new five-year deal with Adidas, which will run until the 2029/30 campaign. The German sportswear giant is expected to provide more favourable terms, potentially boosting Liverpool’s revenue through enhanced royalty percentages and higher guaranteed payments.

This marks the third time Adidas will serve as Liverpool’s kit supplier, with previous collaborations spanning from 1985 to 1996 and again from 2006 to 2012. Fans are eagerly anticipating the return of the three-stripe brand, with early leaks of the new goalkeeper kit already generating buzz.
The leaked goalkeeper jersey for the 2025/26 season is, according to Footy Headlines, black with light green detailing on the Adidas, LFC, and Standard Chartered logos, as well as the iconic three stripes down the sleeves.
The design is described as sleek yet simple, featuring dark grey accents on the sleeves and a light green panel along the sides. While details on the outfield players’ kits remain under wraps, the excitement surrounding the Adidas reunion is palpable.
With this new deal, Liverpool is expected to outpace the earnings from their current Nike partnership, capitalizing on both nostalgia and a financially superior agreement with Adidas.
