Brighton’s £7M star man has spoken out on a potential move to Liverpool and about Jurgen Klopp in the media this week.
Pascal Groß of Brighton has had a brilliant start to the season, as have Brighton, but they’ve been rocked by the loss of their manager Graham Potter, who had helped get the Seagulls into the top four before departing for Chelsea.
The German midfielder has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the past, and at 31, perhaps that ship has sailed.
However, he was asked about Liverpool this week and discussed if he saw a potential move in the future.

Groß on Liverpool
When asked by Sport 1 if he would like to play for Klopp, Gross replied: “I look from game-to-game. We are going a good way at Brighton.”
“I’m a normal, down-to-earth guy. And I’m happy where I am now. The Champions League is a dream, but you also have to look at what’s important to you.” He added.
“Maybe the daily routine at another club is not right and at Brighton everything is just right for me. I stand for consistency; the club has given me a lot and I want to achieve a lot more.
“I have a lot of respect for Jürgen Klopp. He is a coach that everyone looks up to. What he achieves in his clubs is breath-taking. But I’m realistic about that, too. I don’t think that will happen.”
🗣️ "If you ever want to see a goal to sum up the work of Graham Potter and this Brighton team, it's this."

Gross does perfectly suit Liverpool
Perhaps it would be considered an outside option for a move to Liverpool given his age, but the midfielder continues to be one the most underrated players in the Premier League and his start this season has shown that.
He has three goals and two assists in the PL in just six games – including a double in the first game of the season against Manchester United. His role in attacking midfield has seen him become one of Brighton’s most important players.
Looking at his stats also reveals a top attacking midfield player; he registers between the 93rd-98th percentiles for non-penalty goals, progressive passes received, touches in the attacking penalty area, non-penalty xG + xA, shot-creating actions and xG assisted.
That is something that Liverpool do lack in midfield but considering Liverpool want to refresh their midfield roster next summer, a 31-year-old signing seems rather unlikely. Especially considering both Thiago and Jordan Henderson are 32 as well.
