Liverpool have been linked with signing a midfielder all summer despite bringing in Fabio Carvalho.
The Reds have some question marks next to their midfield with contracts and injury-prone players.
However, they have been strongly linked with a move for Matheus Nunes all summer.
Latest reports have revealed some new information surrounding the player who seems tailor-made for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Wolves are reportedly hoping to convince Sporting’s Matheus Nunes to join the club this weekend when the two clubs face each other in Portugal.
It’s said #Wolves had an offer of €45m + €5m in bonuses ready but Nunes preferred to wait for other options.

Latest reports on Nunes
According to Correio da Manha, Wolves have now moved in with a formal offer to sign the midfielder from Sporting CP.
Wolves already have a strong Portuguese contingent from their manager to their squad and they’ve identified another here.
However, with their lack of European football with Wolves, Nunes prefers to wait for an offer from the side that will be playing in the Champions League.
A few days ago it was revealed by Jornal de Noticias that the Reds want to lure the midfielder, who has a £50.4m release clause, to Anfield.
Where would he fit in?
He offers versatility and quality – being able to play in a two or three-man midfield.
Playing a two-man would allow Liverpool to field Fabio Carvalho or Harvey Elliot in a number 10 attacking position but in a three-man midfield, he can add extra security.
He completed 2.5 dribbles, 2.5 long balls and 0.7 key passes per 90 in the league last season which demonstrates how he could fit into Liverpool’s style of play that includes fast switches and quick transitions.
Whereas he only offered three goals and two assists in the league, in a better side he could be afforded more opportunities and with his technical ability, he could definitely take advantage and contribute more.
