£44m Liverpool star stuns fans with transfer bombshell ahead of shock exit

Liverpool are facing a few tricky decisions to make on certain players in the ongoing summer transfer window. The club are ready to offload a few to raise funds, but are divided on the future of a few title heroes who are attracting interest from top European clubs.

The Merseyside giants will focus on a few player sales once they finalise the mega-money deal to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, which could happen sometime this week.

Liverpool are ready to move on several players who are surplus to requirements, but there are certain stars who the club are yet to make a final decision on, and they are attracting interest from Europe.

The Luis Diaz saga is a prime example of a player whose future is under the scanner, but there is one more star who has refused to clarify what he wants to do this summer.

A Liverpool star refused to rule out a transfer this summer

Cody Gakpo’s future at Liverpool is under scrutiny due to interest from German champions Bayern Munich in the ongoing transfer window.

The German giants have been in contact with his representatives to discuss a potential deal to take him to Bavaria this summer.

Liverpool have officially insisted that he is not for sale, but are open to selling him if a club offer a deal worth between £59m and £67m in the ongoing transfer window.

Gakpo has denied being in touch with any other club, but didn’t rule out his agent holding talks with interested suitors this summer.

“I haven’t heard anything about it myself. I’m closing myself off from it”, he told the media while on international duty.

“Maybe my agent has heard something, but I’m focusing on myself.”

It seems unlikely that Liverpool will allow both Diaz and Gakpo to leave in the same window.
