£40m Star Rejects Arsenal In Favour Of Liverpool in Shock Transfer Twist

Arsenal have been left stunned after a £40m-rated star turned down a move to the Emirates, instead opting to join Premier League rivals Liverpool. The unexpected twist is a major blow to Mikel Arteta’s summer plans and signals a big win for Jurgen Klopp as the Reds continue to strengthen ahead of the new season.

Liverpool have shocked the rest of the Premier League with their moves in the summer, that has resulted in the arrivals of Jermie Frimpong and, more impressively, Florian Wirtz for a club-record fee.

The Merseyside giants are also set to sign Milos Kerkez next week, and have other priorities to sort out, which include signing a centre-back and a striker before the end of the window.

Liverpool are set to pull off a major victory over their nearest rivals, Arsenal, in the transfer window, with a top target set to reject the Gunners in favour of a move to Anfield.

Marc Guehi turns down Arsenal as he waits for Liverpool

Marc Guehi has a year left on his contract and is prepared to run down his deal at Crystal Palace if he doesn’t get the move he wants.

Liverpool have agreed personal terms with the player’s representatives and will soon open conversations with the South London club in the summer.

According to the Sun, Guehi is prepared to turn down a move to Arsenal in favour of a transfer to Liverpool.

Newcastle and Tottenham have also been rejected, as the defender waits to join the Premier League champions this summer or next year on a free transfer.

Liverpool are prepared to do a deal and are ready to offer somewhere around £40m to Palace for Guehi’s signature in the ongoing transfer window.

It remains to be seen how Richard Hughes plays this to get the defender in the best possible deal.
