£175k-a-week midfielder outlines preferred next club amid Liverpool rumours – would be perfect for Klopp’s 4-3-3

One of Liverpool’s rumoured midfield targets is reportedly pushing for a move away from Juventus.

The midfielder in question is Adrien Rabiot who has featured over 129 times in three seasons for the Italian club.

Still only 27, he offers a lot of experience for club and country and has played with some of the best and biggest clubs.

His tall build and technical quality combined have always attracted a lot of interest but could Liverpool move for him amid the current rumours?

Latest links with Rabiot

Rabiot’s agent – who just happens to be his mother – is reportedly pushing for a move back to PSG. Italian source Mondo Bianconero insists it is a return to Paris Saint-Germain which is Rabiot’s preferred option.

The Reds were linked with selling Naby Keita to Juventus earlier in the window – but the Senegalese midfielder is nearing a new and improved contract deal.

The Old Lady have also been linked with a move for Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino – with a bid of £19.5m reportedly tabled.

Rabiot reportedly has a lot of interest and has since been left out of Juve’s pre-season tour of the USA.

A move away is certainly near although his wages (£175k-a-week) could be an issue for any club wanting to sign him.

Could Juventus take advantage of Liverpool’s midfield interest and capitalise on a potential swap deal?

I say a move is improbable at the current time, but Liverpool could add certified quality to their midfield here.
