Liverpool fans are worried that Harvey Elliot is going to be sent out on loan as he is reportedly wanted by up to 10 different clubs.
The left-footed winger has been deployed in midfield during pre-season and while there is a good chance he stays at the club the way Curtis Jones did last summer, a loan spell wouldn’t be the worst idea.
That is, of course, Liverpool make a new signing for the first team to ensure that Jurgen Klopp isn’t left shorthanded upfront.

According to the Lancashire Telegraph, ‘Harvey Elliott has interest from 10 clubs as Liverpool prepare to make a decision on his future.’
Sheffield United are reportedly the latest to register an interest in the forward but they are yet to make an official approach.
The relegated side feels as though they have an edge over their competitors but Elliott wants to stay at the club.
Xherdan Shaqiri, who wants to leave and join Lazio, is crucial to Elliott’s future as he occupies the role that would otherwise be available to the 18-year-old.

I still can’t believe that Elliott is just 18. I know we’ve only seen glimpses of him in pre-season and I barely watched him on loan at Blackburn if I’m honest but it’s clear that he’s an unbelievable player.
The fact that he plays with the composure, freedom and understanding that he does at his age is so, so impressive.
While I can understanding why some fans are worried about sending him loan without signing a new forward this summer, I doubt that would be the case.
If Liverpool let Sheffield United or the like take him on loan for the 2021/22 season, not only do I think that would be hugely beneficial for his development but I also think it would coincide with the arrival of a striker or winger.

Madness if we send him out on loan. Were just reducing our attacking options pic.twitter.com/gB8tzgSbsV

No new signings then 😏 2 places in the squad up for grabs with Elliott, Minamino, Gordon, Shaqiri, Ox fighting it out. Adrian, Karius, Origi should not be anywhere near the first team squad.

Loan him to premier league club for more game time and development while we sign a replacement winger
