Mohamed Salah is having one of his best ever seasons the year his contract expires.
In the summer, he could leave Liverpool after eight years at the club. The forward has 22 goals and 14 assists in the Premier League so far. He could easily end the season with a league record if he continues at this pace. Arne Slot’s new style at the club has brought out the best in Liverpool’s attack. Salah has been the driving force behind the reds this season and wants to end the season with trophies:
“… I said it many times before that my main target this season is to win the Premier League with the team. We are going in the right direction so hopefully we can keep going like this.”
Liverpool could win the treble this season. The reds can win the Premier League, League Cup and Champions League.

Saudi Pro League clubs make Mohamed Salah accusation

It was reported in January that Al-Hilal among other Saudi Pro League clubs made offers for Mohamed Salah. Liverpool rejected as they were not willing to make a decision before the end of the season. As of last week, it has been reported that Mohamed Salah is still in talks over a new deal with the reds.
Sources in the Saudi league have suggested that Salah is using the clubs to get a bigger payday with Liverpool. A senior advisor told The i Paper:
“There is a feeling we are being used in contract negotiations this time. We want him, that is no secret. But we are getting less indication from the player that he is even considering moving here. Liverpool are flying this season and he is scoring goals like he was five years ago again.”
It is rumoured that the clubs will make a huge push to sign the Liverpool star before the Club World Cup begins.
Outrageous claims against Liverpool star
The Saudi Pro League clubs have no right to accuse Mohamed Salah of anything. The forward is just weighing out his options before he decides on his future. One of the best players in the world this season deserves a contract worth his quality. The 32-year old is playing at a level very few players have touched in recent years.
Salah has made his demands clear to Liverpool, and that he wants to stay. Saudi Pro League clubs have already had offers turned away in January, and that could be the reason for these outrageous accusations. Despite all that, Liverpool need to make a decision on Salah’s future ahead of the summer.
Any changes that will be made to the team will depend on whether he leaves or stays in Merseyside.
