Video: “What a guy!”: Curtis Jones hugs and laughs with £160,000/week Liverpool star after Everton win

Curtis Jones was named on the bench for Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Everton but wasn’t short on love for Andy Robertson after full-time.

The Scotsman, who signed a £160,000/week contract extension in 2021, opened the goalscoring at Anfield on Sunday with a well-placed header.

Divock Origi and Mohamed Salah linked up neatly inside the penalty area before the Egyptian crossed the ball to the back post.

The ball went over Diogo Jota’s head but Robertson was perfectly placed to meet the ball and head it past Jordan Pickford.

He placed the header perfectly, directing it to where the Everton goalkeeper had just dived from as there was no space at the front post.

On Liverpool’s classic Inside Anfield series, Curtis Jones was filmed after the game showing love to the left-back, hugging him and shouting: “What a guy!”
